Almost 300 million passengers and 100 million tonnes of various goods were transported to destinations all across Europe in a sustainable and environmentally friendly way. Employing more than 42000 people, the ÖBB is the socio-ecological backbone of the Austrian economy.

How we made it happen
There are a lot of challenges when you decide to develop a cross-functional and company wide intrapreneurship program. From selecting the most promising topics that fit into the overall portfolio strategy and selecting the right candidates with a strong pattern and opportunity recognition to strategically establishing the program in the company and finding support on a department basis. One of the most challenging things in this year’s program however was to design it in a fully remote but highly engaging way.
