How we made it happen
Challenge
Volkswagen Financial Services – Chatbot
VWFS was facing some challenges on a page where they required users to fill out a long form. The form had many questions and often users would get stuck when they did not have the exact answer.
For example, if the question was to provide the data on their mileage, customers that didn’t know the exact number would get stuck and leave the form.
Approach
Avoid friction through a smart assistant
TheVentury was asked to build a Chatbot as a Proof-of-Concept for the service “warranty extension”. The Chatbot gives the possibility to answer more than 100 frequently asked questions plus some additional small talk questions to create a better customer experience.
If the user would not be able to answer a question, the bot would offer options or a range to choose from, which made it easier to go through the form and fill out the answers.
Result
As a result, we created a chatbot, that can independently answer frequently asked questions. It reduced churn by providing users with the necessary information in a simple to use interface and it gave the VWFS page a modern touch. By automating the FAQs we reduced customers’ hurdles in the sales process which enabled upselling of extended warranties and guaranteed VWFS’ 24/7 availability.
