THE CHALLENGE
As the payment innovation lab from Landesbank Baden-Württemberg (LBBW) and S-Payment, SPAYCE was looking for more visibility for its experts on digital channels and beyond.
The main goal was to raise awareness of SPAYCE within LBBW and S-Payment and make exciting and fruitful connections outside their group of companies.


OUR APPROACH
We developed a corporate influencer initiative for the four SPAYCE team members, and also set up a company LinkedIn page for distributing knowledge within the organization. Our initial steps involved a thorough analysis of prior activities and the digital footprints of all participants and the SPAYCE brand.
The team quickly gained valuable skills and insights on the importance of individual communication about their expertise and brand, as well as how to foster and strengthen connections. Building on these insights, we developed tailored content strategies for each team member and the SPAYCE brand, adjusting their communication channels as required.
Every participant, whether individual or the company itself, concluded the initial stage with a fully prepared three-month editorial calendar and a backlog of additional content.
This marked the beginning of our coaching phase, during which the team started producing content, attracting new followers, interacting in novel ways, and enhancing their overall social media presence. Regular weekly one-on-one sessions ensured sustained, long-term activity. Monthly team meetings were used to evaluate past initiatives, identify opportunities for improving internal communication, share newly gained insights, or strategize about coordinated communication efforts
THE OUTCOME
As a result of the program, the personal networks of the participants on LinkedIn grew up to 78% in just six months. Their personal reach increased significantly – up to +48%. Combined, the group generated more than 3.100 likes, comments and shares. That is an increase of 254% compared to the whole of the previous year.
All participants received real-life feedback about their increased visibility on social media from coworkers and other people in their network. Finally, the team created numerous connections and exchanges with trend leaders from adjacent markets and potential service providers.

SPAYCE Payment Innovation Lab is a joint agile working group of LBBW and the 100% DSV subsidiary S-Payment. SPAYCE develops digital and innovative solutions in payment transactions for private and corporate customers of the Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe. SPAYCE also serves as a platform for the mutual transfer of knowledge between LBBW and S-Payment and expands the already existing innovation processes of both banks.
